About
Barbara King, LCSW
Hi there! I'm Barbara King, LCSW CA118415, a Black psychotherapist who believes in helping people grow through resilience, wellness, and independence. I received my bachelor's degree in psychology from Fisk University (an HBCU) and my Master of Social Work from CSU Dominguez Hills. I have several years of experience providing therapy for individuals, couples, and families. I have worked with clients facing a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. I use evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and solution-focused therapy to help my clients achieve their goals. My goal is to create a safe and supportive space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings and work towards positive change. When I am not working, I am cheering on my beloved Lakers and Dodgers, spending time with my family and friends, participating in my church, partaking in a new adventure, or doing community service.
